How to Watch TV
Find the Firestick Remote. It’s black and says “Firetv” on the bottom. This turns the TV and Firestick on.
Turn on TV and Firestick by pressing top left button at top of Firestick remote.
Television needs to be on HDMI1 (should already be there)
Turn on Amp (biggest box on bottom)
Use left hand knob to choose “Fire Stick” or HDMI 6 in menu
WAIT – it takes a minute to start working
Using the Fire Stick
The Fire Stick is a bit like an Apple TV – you use it to access all the apps you want to use to watch TV, Netflix etc. Below is a general guide.
To navigate use the outside of the ring at the top of the remote to move left, right, up and down. Click the centre of the ring to select.
If you can’t see the app you want press the Home button (has a house on it). Scroll across to the top right and there is a button with three boxes and a plus sign. Click this and you can see all the apps.
To watch TVNZ or TV3 pick the right app.
TVNZ Live
Go into app
When in it press left to access side menu
Choose “Live”
It goes straight into TV1 – to access other channels click up and down with top and bottom of circle.
TV3 Live
Go into app
When in click on “LiveTV” in menu at top of page
Choose your channel
To watch Sky Sport choose that app.
Watch at DVD
Use left hand know to choose “DVD” in menu on Amp.
How to Airplay Music
Make sure the amp in on. Press “Net” on either the big remote (second white button down on the right) or on the amp (you need to open the menu cover).
Make sure you’re on the house wifi.
Go into your music app on your phone.
Start playing the song you want. Click on the song at the bottom of the screen – this makes the screen big with just the song.
At the bottom of the screen is some text showing where the song is playing. Click this and choose “SC-LX88” or alternatively choose Airplay and choose “SC-LX88”.
If it stops press “Net” again.
